Fiberglass wicks offer superior durability and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional cotton wicks. Unlike cotton, which burns away over time and requires frequent replacement, our fiberglass wicks are designed to last indefinitely with normal use—saving you both time and money.

For optimal performance, only 1/4" to 1/2" of the fiberglass wick should be exposed above the torch or lamp. A properly adjusted wick ensures a smooth, steady flame while maximizing fuel efficiency. Overexposure can result in an unstable, smoky flame and excessive fuel consumption. We recommend starting with 1/4" exposure and gradually increasing if needed to achieve the desired flame size.

While fiberglass wicks are not consumed during use, they may need replacement if contaminated with water or low-quality fuel. If switching between different fuel types—such as paraffin oil, torch fuel, or kerosene—replacing the wick can help maintain optimal performance. Additionally, always allow a new wick to fully absorb fuel before lighting for the first time.
